5 Steps for knowing Jesus better!

1) KNOW YOU'RE FORGIVEN!

No one can earn or deserve God's forgiveness - but we are each freely offered forgiveness and heaven by believing in Jesus, God's only Son, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on our behalf. When you receive Jesus into your life by faith, you are forgiven by God!

"Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" John 1:12

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus," Romans 8:1

2) READ THE BIBLE

Take some time each day to read God's Word. A great place to start reading is the Bible's book of John (fourth book of the New Testament). Everything we believe about God and his Son Jesus is found in the Bible! Apply what God says to your own life, believing its promises and obeying our Lord's commands.

"Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Psalm 119:105

3) PRAY

Prayer is simply talking to God. Let God know your needs and concerns, ask for HIs help, thank Him for His goodness and worship Him for His greatness. When we come to faith in Jesus, we gain a relationship with God!

"Pray continually," 1 Thessalonians 5:17

4) GO TO CHURCH

Start attending a Bible-believing church each week that teaches Jesus as the Son of God, the Savior of the world. You will find yourself around other believers in the fellowship of faith! Being in church is one of the best ways to grow in your faith in the Lord and to learn to live for Him.

"I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.'" Psalm 122:1

5) LET OTHERS KNOW

Share your faith in Jesus with others. Tell your story of how you came to believe in God's Son and invite others to church with you!

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16

You're invited to join us for worship on Sundays at 8, 9:30 & 11 am here at Desert Springs Church in the heart of the Coachella Valley. We're a Bible-believing, Christ-centered evangelical church that's located at 43-435 Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert. (Situated just across the street from the main entrance of College of the Desert on Monterey Avenue.) Take the 10 Hwy (toward Palm Desert) to Monterey Avenue, then south to the church. From Hwy 111, (traveling toward Palm Desert) go north on Monterey Avenue to the church.

Every Sunday, Desert Springs offers our classic worship at 8, 9:30 & 11 am in the sanctuary, along with our casual contemporary worship at 11 am in the "Family Room" across the lobby. Children's ministry (ages birth - 5th grade) and youth ministry (middle school & high school) are offered at 11 am as well. Come & worship with us!
